The Word of the Day! App Reviews

I love the idea of the app, but I found myself frustrated with not having the option of seeing the word used in a sentence. The list of past words and optional alerts/reminders are a nice touch as well, but not having examples of the word in a sentence is why Im going to try another app.

I wish I had known the word selection was so poor. The word of the day today was literally "polar opposites". I suppose this app may be of value if you are learning English as a second language or if you are in 2nd grade. If neither of those apply, dont waste your time.

The design of the app is really nice and clean but the word choices are really off. The word of the day choices sound like a kid made them up. I am going to find a different word of the day app. :/

Itd be really cool if you added a notification feature. Otherwise Itd be even better

Deleted this app all words since New Years have been about Christianity ... If I wanted to learn the bible I would have downloaded it not your app.

The words werent worth learning

I send my son the word and definition everyday and he texts a sentence everyday!!!!

This is a great app to wake up to. I always like learning new things and this app is letting me do just that. As corny as it sounds I really like to know what word is next

I wanted a WORD of the day but kept getting phrases.

They have the dumbest words you would never use. Got this to expand my vocabulary but how can you with stupid things like this. The one made by unity is much better. This ap gets 0 stars from me

This was a very nice app to use everyday. The setup was great and easy to use, with a nice, calming color pallet as well. The app sometimes doesnt provide just words, but phrases as well! Sometimes you will see words you already know if you do have a large vocabulary, but other than that, the app was really nice!

Pronunciation and better word choices will definitely improve the app.

I stumbled on this by accident after giving up on sleep. 455 in the morning alone can get boring; from time to time I read random reviews. One particularly absurd and incredibly hilarious review caught my eye. JenBet54, someone needs to see how this person is coping after being crushingly disappointed in this app. 2nd review! Thats dedication! JenBet54s first melancholy review was great however the follow up review was solid gold! Go go. Read it. Its titled "Im back". I cant find the right words, although perhaps there is no word to convey just how absurd and serious their post is. Maybe just maybe my new word of the day all can help me out with this conundrum!! I knew that word already! Oh well, it seemsI cant find the proper word to describe how incredibly ABSURD their follow up post was. JenBet54 reviewed her review and continued on to review our lack of interest in her original review! Review inception. T That review gave me be giggles. Im so sorry you were hurt so deeply and let down so hard by the word of the day app you purchased for the low, low price of NOTHING. Im sure Im the only bored jerk who found such seriousness comical! After being a jerk, before I send my ranting off to iTunes, I must say: We may not take a free word of the day apps functionality and word choice review from a bummed out fellow surveyor seriously. We may not take your disappointment seriously, at ALL; in both it and us. However, youre feelings on anything and everything ARE valid. I hope you found another word a day app that built you up, didnt let you down and expanded your vocabulary one (pink slimy) word at a time.
