No pronunciation for the words. Plus, most of the words that are on this app that you are supposed to learn, are not very practical words that you can use in everyday conversation.

So far this app has severely disappointed me. Ive received about three "words" were theres actually multiple words contained in it and when I do get an actual word its total slang and not actually benefitting my vocabulary at all. And to add a cherry to the top the app refuses to send me notifications each morning when I set it to. Overall the design is nice but the sources are poor.

Although it does serve the purpose of introducing a new word to our vocabulary on a daily basis as promised, it would be nice if it had a pronunciation section and how to use it in a sentence. Also, some of the words seems a bit dated

Its good, but it would be nice for the words to be words that people dont know much. I mean words like cheeky and ajar are fairly common words.

The words arent even usable in a sentences unless ur talking about religion and or a holiday... There are way better word of the day apps out there, this isnt one of them

This app provides no words which could be considered useful. Some examples: "Arizona Room", "Gravitational Waves", "Trigger Warning", "Judas Goat", "Balconing" and "Gogo". This app would be better off being named Useless Phrase of the Day. Use of real words found in a dictionary would make this app 5/5. "Making a spectacle of oneself". Lol

It takes words and definitions straight from wiktionary.org. Very little input from app creator. Not worth the small fee to remove ads.

Terrible words. The first day they gave me hillman (man that lives on a hill or mountain) and the second manspreading (man with spread legs)... Such a waste of time.

The app is very easy to use and a great source of information for words

In the three days I have had this app, Ive received one word- "mama bear". Not exactly one of the new words Im interested in "adding" to my vocabulary. After receiving only one word in three days, I decided that this app is a waste of space. Thanks but no thanks.

Do you know how disappointing it is to start your day by reading the definition of "deskfast"? Would you like to? I only kept the app because its funny to share the really bad words with friends. I also learned about the Korean myth of the "fan death" through the app, so definitely life enriching in its own unique, misrepresented way.

This app works great and isnt full of ads! I like the simplicity- every day you have a new word and you can also swipe over to see previous words. I dont always like the word choices as many are more than a single word and not the type of words I would ever use. Still like it a lot and continuing to use.

Would love how to pronounce the word of the day words

I just deleted the app after todays word of the day " salad dodger" meaning an over weight person. I was hoping to learn actual words not offensive slang.

After a few days I found the choice extremely esoteric (even for a word a day calendar) but after todays word was "salad dodger" I am definitely done with this app.

If you arent interested in reading the details: the app has a good design is can be helpful but gives outdated words, doesnt work without data. Bad App: when given a word every day it only comes with a definition of it and not a sentence of it, synonyms and things like that. It also only works when your using data or wifi which makes it much less convenient. I couldnt use it while traveling. Bad Words: the words that the app gave were terrible. At least half the words I got were extremely outdated and even my 60 year old dad with a large vocabulary said he has never used it. In addition the app often would give me three or more word phrases which isnt what I was looking for. The name of the app is slightly misleading because it not only gives words but also phrases. Great Design: the app looked very appealing in a visual sense and was neat and simple. It also gave me a timer so that it would remind me to check the word of the day which was helpful. It would also let me save the words given to me each day to a storage board where I could see all of them.

The words this app chooses for each day are not helpful for increasing vocabulary. Theyre words like "dead tree edition" (a book that is a real book, not an ebook). Just nonsense
