Learning a new word everyday is really amazing, and the word bank is useful! Especially when I dont have a lot of time to look at the word I can go back and study it over again!

A terrible choice in words!!
Great fun. A highlight of my morning
This is a fun and informative app. Set it to deliver the word and learn a new word every day
There has not been a single word yet that I would even use. From words used only in the 17th century to slang specific to other countries this app is awful if youre trying to expand your vocabulary.
I love learning a new word everyday- I almost never know the words before hand, and its fun to expand my vocabulary with words I didnt know I wanted to know!
I love this app, but could there be a pronunciation guide like in dictionaries? Some words are difficult to figure out what part is stressed. Otherwise awesome app!
Words are too basic or contain the same word in its definition.
I hate to break the news to you WOTD, but "set apart" is not a word. It is two words that I learned in the first grade. #wtf #whoselectsthesewords #weemploykindergarteners #uselesswords #wotdlovesstupidwords #areyoukiddingme #thebacon
Every now and again you get a stupid word but all and all, its a great app
If you are looking to build your vocabulary and become more articulate, this is not the app for you. Todays word was "dude-bro." Slang. Not even a word. Well, its two words. This is a horrible WOTD app.
I nearly deleted the app immediately... So I dont know.
First word it tells me when I open the app. Dude-bro. Seriously? I got this app to learn something new, What a failure.
This would be a five star app but half the time I dont know how to pronounce the word. Needs the phonetic spelling included.
I downloaded this app last week and my vocabulary has already expanded!! Learning new words is helpful.
Its called WORD of the day not phrase of the day, and I just got definition of a 2 word phrase.
This app is incredibly disappointing. The only positive aspect to it is the inclusion of a list page that allows you to go back and view previous words. Unfortunately, thats where anything good about the app ends. The most important part - the words - are absolutely abysmal. They arent properly defined like in dictionary, but instead come across as though someone was trying to explain a new word to a friend. With each word, all you get is the part of speech (most are nouns) and a bad definition or two. An overwhelming number of the words are useless & unlikely to be used in everyday conversation, written or verbal. Words are frequently labeled "archaic" or "obsolete" - why would I want to learn words that are of no use to me? Most disappointing is the repulsive attempt they make at humor/being culturally relevant. Words often reference a movie or recent event. In the past month Back to the Future, the new James Bond movie, and the Alien movie series have been mentioned. I see enough of them everywhere else - including them in this app just comes across a bit pathetic. Save your time and dont download this app. Im deleting it today and finding another, its been given a few months of chances and never ceases to disappoint.
The "word" of the day has yet to be useful in anyway. I put word in quotes because Ive gotten two word phrases and proper nouns, neither of which technically qualify as vocabulary words. The apps admin seems to have a dearth of vernacular.
Well the interface is clean and the notifications are nice.... But the words it gives are soooo ignorant. Im sorry. Zombocolypse, and welfare trap are NOT words that could come up in normal coversation. Out of 3 months I got less than half a dozen words worth using. Would change to 5 star of they stopped using a hipster dictionary and got us some big people words that can be used by adults.
It doesnt have sound pronouncing the word like I like. Also, for me to fully understand a word I need to see it used in a sentence, this app does NOT have that feature.
